A Perfect Saturday
Well we did sleep well after all. Slept in too. Jeff tip toes over to my side to tell me that ‘the yard guys are here’ you better go and talk to them. Music to my ears! I fed Nina then threw on some clothes.
Manuel was here with another guy and they sure got busy. In fact, when I came down they had already de-weeded the whole yard. They stayed all day and got the bulk of the work done. (they are re-sodding the lawn, laying down pea gravel, and beautifying everything in general.)
Manuel left for a few hours and left his assistant to work in the back. I swear all he was doing was pacing back and forth in front of our picture window carrying a rake. For hours. When the MAN came back he brought a gang to help and I heard a fearsome bunch of Spanish hurled at Rake Man. Things really got rolling after that. I was sincerely impressed with their work and very happy with the outcome. Those guys worked until 8:30pm. Jeff brought home some Costco Pizza for them (ah pizza, those were the days) They killed it. I’m sure they were hungry. That’s some hard work. When they laid down the sod it was getting dark and when they finished it was totally dark so I can’t wait to see it in the morning. Tomorrow they are putting down the pea gravel in the back and side of the house. Jeff is not convinced about it in fact he said he would rather burn money than lay pea gravel down, but I told him, he’d love it. We shall see. I think it will look nice and clean, finished.
We played musical Nina today. She got lots of Mommy and daddy time today. Daddy read her some books and played “hi Roo” games. Nina helped me make a nice Autumn wreath for the front door. It was most helpful when she tried to eat the big fern on the table. And when she tried to eat the dried moss bag. (She is getting so grabby! I love it! mom really has to keep her eye on peanut already.) But anyway, thank goodness for Nina. It wouldn’t have been half as much fun without her. She sacked out early on the couch after such a big day of games and craft time.
Went for a run with puppy today but he was not really feeling it. He is a bit out of shape. I had to cut it short. It was nice to run though. Sure feels different 30lbs lighter!
I went out to feed the boys, they look good. I found an awesome hay source…guarantees his hay -THATS A START! Its coming on Thursday morning. Sounds like a nice guy. He is a Woodinville Fireman.
Oh detail- sold that TV! Yay! $25. Lots of inquiries about the furniture but no solid bites..come on people!
Big Day! I’m at the 10 pound mark. Only 10 pounds to go until I’m PPW(pre pregnancy weight.)
