Spent the weekend with Kit out at the Cabin. Dad was in the process or refinishing the deck so we made camp down on the concrete deck. We played Yahtzee, drooled over Elle Magazine, cooked out and generally aired it out about our lives, dreams and husbands. Nina was an angel. She kept sprinkling her spritely dust with every smile and giggle. I slept down stairs on the sofa- I like to call it the black hole. It looks like a bad idea from the 70’s but when you lay down it swallows you up and gives you the sleep smack-down! Then this morning we went up to port gamble and Kingston. Jeff has been trying to get me out to Kingston but I was not that impressed. And the Ferry line was almost two miles long! We turned around and took the Southworth Ferry. the drive home was wonderful. Kit is a greeat story teller. She was reliving her college days. The ups down loves and losses.
